Destination: Negombo
Upon arrival in Sri Lanka you will be met and assisted by your very own Chauffeur. Then transfer to your hotel in Negombo, once a trading port for the Dutch and British now has been developed into a bustling modern town with a handful of reminders of its colonial past. Situated close to the international airport, it makes a convenient rest stop before heading inland to explore. The wide golden sand beach is dotted with fishing boats and the inland resort road offers a selection of restaurants and bars.
Once you check in at your hotel relax and recover from any jet lag.

Destination: Negombo city tour by Bicycle
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and commence a city tour in Negombo by bicycle. Over the course of the tour you will be taken through the most beautiful and interesting aspects of Negombo and learn about its history.
The earlier you go you will get a glimpse of how fishermen bring in their catches of the day which are then sold to the locals. You can also visit the Dutch Church and the Fort, a hindu & Buddhist Temple. On completion return to the hotel
Destination: Wilpattu
On completion proceed to Wilpattu, his existence of "Willus" (natural lakes) - natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater. On arrival you will settle into your safari camp and have lunch.

Destination: Wilpattu National Park
Early this morning you will be taken on a safari tour of the Wilpattu National Park in a private open-air jeep. Wilpattu has re-opened after the end of the civil war and offers visitors a wonderful nature experience with fewer visitors than Yala. After being hit during the war, the wildlife numbers are now on the rise again so keep your eyes peeled for elephants, deer, wild boar, wild buffaloes, monkeys, sloth bears, crocodiles and leopards, as well as a huge variety of exciting bird and reptile life.
(Your safari will be by a private jeep and accompanied by a local naturalist on availability. Conditions of the tracks around the park differ, depending on the time of year, but generally you should expect them to be bumpy and dusty.)
Return to your campsite for a late breakfast and unwind before another game drive in the late afternoon.

Destination: Jaffna
Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and head north to Jaffna, far and away the largest town in northern Sri Lanka, connected to the mainland by a lagoon causeway. As a result of a 30 years’ war, Jaffna was left untouched by modernization and so much of the town is time-locked in the 50's, from the buildings to the old Morris Minor cars and there is much to discover and many un-spoilt beaches, making it perfect for those in search of sand and sun with a difference. Later in the afternoon meet your host, and begin your voyage with a visit to Minister Palace, a relic from the glorious Jaffna kingdom. This palace, once home to a minister of Cankili, king of Jaffna, reveals the opulence and heritage of a bygone era. Later this morning you will enjoy a traditional cooking session at a local house. Firstly, visit the local market with your host and gather the vegetables / spice and meats for a traditional Sri Lankan lunch. Get an introduction to some lesser known vegetables and a large range of Sri Lanka’s staple spices. Afterwards, you will take a short drive to the fish markets which border the ocean, Here, fishermen gather daily to sell their catch of the day. From the chaos of the markets you will then make your way to one of the most serene areas in Galle to begin cooking. The Paddy Island is a private property with an open-air dining area and kitchen set in the middle of several rice paddies. During the summer months, these paddies glow emerald green and the scenery is lush and dense with flowers and plants. The preparation and cooking of lunch is done in the outside kitchens by two village locals and the chefs. You will have the opportunity to scrape coconuts in the traditional manner, prepare the vegetables, and learn the secrets to making popular curries and side-dishes such as chicken curry, dahl, fish balls and coconut sambol. Once the cooking is finished a leisurely lunch is served in the dining area with panoramic views over the rice paddy. Lastly, you can lounge around and enjoy the views of the paddy island with its lotus pond, large variety of bird life and surrounding rice fields too
